November is National Veterans and Military Families Month, with Veterans Day on November 11, a time to honor the service and sacrifice of those who have served. To recognize their invaluable contributions, New York State offers veterans and active military personnel a variety of discounts and free admission to attractions across the state—not only on Veterans Day but throughout the month of November and year-round.

  • USS Slater, Albany - The USS Slater will hold a Veteran’s Day ceremony in the morning and then the World War II-era destroyer escort will be open for tours, with free admission for veterans. Year-round, $2 off admission fee for veterans
