Warwick, N.Y. (December 05, 2025) - Mount Peter, proudly known as New York’s Family Mountain, is officially open for the 2025–2026 winter season, a season that marks an extraordinary milestone: the mountain’s 90th anniversary.

For nine decades, families, friends, and snow lovers have created unforgettable memories on Mount Peter’s slopes. From beginner lessons to thrilling runs, festive tubing outings to warm gatherings at Pete’s Pub, Mount Peter remains a cherished tradition just a short drive away in the heart of the Hudson Valley.

Canandaigua, New York (December 5, 2025) - We are thrilled to announce the opening of the 2025-26 winter season at Bristol Mountain, starting tomorrow, Saturday, December 6th! With the Comet Express Chairlift ready to whisk you up the slopes, we invite all advanced skiers to enjoy the thrill of three exhilarating trails: Ursa Major, Upper Rocket, and Lower Rocket. Our opening day will run from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, offering a full day of adventure and excitement.

Hunter, NY (Thursday, Nov. 20) - Hunter Mountain opens Saturday, November 22 at 9:00 a.m., for the 2025/26 winter season! We are excited to welcome skiers and riders back to the Catskills with top-to-bottom skiing and riding from the summit. The day kicks off with breakfast taquitos, a live DJ on Danny’s Way, giveaways, and a banner break at 9:00 a.m. on the Kaatskill Flyer.

Governor Kathy Hochul today announced the opening dates of the 2025–26 winter season for the New York State Olympic Regional Development Authority (Olympic Authority) ski areas. While New York boasts more ski areas than any other state in the country, the Olympic Authority’s flagship mountains — Whiteface, Gore, and Belleayre — play a central role in the state’s publicly supported outdoor recreation network.

(May 13, 2025) – The family-friendly slopes of the Mount Peter ski area play a supporting role in the Steve Carrell-Tina Fey Netflix hit The Four Seasons. In the eight-episode dramedy-romance, Netflix’s No. 1 show with viewers as of May 12, 2025, three couples whose longstanding tradition of vacationing together is upended when one of the couples announces they are splitting. Based on the 1981 feature film starring Alan Alda and Carol Burnett, the show follows the friends on four vacations, one in each season.
